Bailey Montagu is a more “generalist” boutique executive search firm, with 5 partners who are supported by an in-house team of researchers (to which we also have access as/if required here). Other partners cover various industry sector practices, with Harry Chryssaphes acting as a (Finance) functional specialist cutting across all sectors and working with the other partners when/as required in support of their Bailey Montagu clients. Bailey Montagu is London based, with an office presence also in Houston (USA) and Dubai (UAE), and have successfully conducted assignments in UK/Europe, USA and the Middles East.

Richard Townsend (Associate / Advisor):

Richard (“Dick”) Townsend is a highly experienced senior HR professional. Also educated at Haberdashers’ Aske’s School, Elstree, a graduate from Leeds University and an MBA from Manchester Business School, Dick spent the majority of his career in a range of senior international HR roles with ICI, which he joined in 1975. Following a solid grounding across UK employee relations and executive recruitment and development, he worked in global change management and in Director/Manager Development roles from 1989 onwards. He was a member of a small team that grew a very profitable Dulux business in Asia Pacific and later spent 3 years as VP Global HR for ICI Polyurethanes based in Belgium. In 2000 he moved to DHL as HR Director of DHL’s Global IT Services Division and from 2003 to 2007 was HR Director of the Civil Aviation Authority. More recently Dick worked as (Interim) Employee Relations Director for AstraZeneca.

Harry Chryssaphes and Dick were originally friends at school and later crossed paths again at Manchester Business School. Dick is a past client of Chryssaphes Associates when at DHL and at the Civil Aviation Authority. He has worked with us in an advisory capacity as an Associate as and when required. He provides his extensive HR knowledge and experience in support of recruitment assignments. He has also assisted clients with succession planning engagements involving the evaluation of candidates and/or the provision of executive coaching to candidates on behalf of clients.

 

Choralis Consulting:

To assist our clients with more junior finance roles than we would handle ourselves, we have a JV relationship with another smaller independent financial recruitment firm, Choralis Consulting,who focus on less senior accounting/financial recruitment of roles at levels below and complementary to ourselves. Choralis are located in the same building as our own Administration Office at Kings Langley, near Watford, Hertfordshire. We are thus in regular contact and dialogue. Operating at the level below that at which we operate ourselves, they are especially strong at recruiting newly/recently /part-qualified positions, as well as other finance positions up to c.£80/85k salary. Choralis also handle Interim/Contract/Temporary Accounting and Finance roles. Nick Wilson (Independent Recruitment Partner) is a Joint Founder/Director at our JV Partner firm Choralis Consulting. Nick began his career in finance recruitment as a consultant for Hays in 1987. He went on to set up the Ealing office for Michael Page Personnel and then progressed to managing offices for other known finance recruitment brands in the UK. Working through Choralis and with support of the Choralis team, Nick’s focus is on filling middle/senior finance roles, as well as taking client briefs and supervising/assisting other members of his team at Choralis in recruiting more junior roles.

 

Tim Woodburn (Independent Recruitment Partner) is a Joint Founder/Director at our JV Partner firm Choralis Consulting. Tim has a strong background in Accounting and Finance Recruitment. With a Law degree and 11 years’ experience at Robert Half under his belt, Tim was well qualified to set up a Finance  recruitment business. Working through Choralis and with support of the Choralis team, Tim’s focus is on filling middle/senior finance roles, as well as taking client briefs and supervising/assisting other members of his team at Choralis in recruiting more junior accounting/finance roles.
