Harry Chryssaphes (Director) is one of the most experienced financial recruitment specialists in the UK. He has built up an extensive network over a career as a specialist in financial executive search spanning almost 30 years. He has a deep knowledge of the finance candidate population having carefully maintained this network. Harry is a graduate, FCA and an MBA from Manchester Business School. In his earlier career he worked in Audit with Arthur Andersen, in Finance/Planning with EMI Music and in Strategy Consulting with Arthur D.Little.

Harry first entered the financial recruitment field in 1980 as Consultancy Manager for a major recruitment advertising group. In 1984 he co-founded Financial Management Selection Limited (FMS), a successful financial recruitment consultancy with 7 professional staff, which was subsequently acquired by a publicly quoted group in 1989. In 1991 he moved on to co-found another successful executive search and selection firm, Chryssaphes Flammiger, together with his former business partner. He established Chryssaphes Associates in 2002 as a wholly owned independent operation. He has specialised in financial management recruitment throughout his executive search career.

Ray Warren (Associate) - A business studies graduate and CIMA qualified accountant, Ray also holds an MSc in Change Management from the University of Surrey. He has over 20 years of international commercial experience at CFO level. Large multi-national organisations that he has worked for include Schlumberger, Diageo (where he held overseas Finance Director positions and latterly was Director of Financial Control for Guinness Brewing Worldwide) and Electrolux, where he was Chief Financial Officer of Electrolux IT Solutions. Alongside his responsibilities for Finance, at both Diageo and Electrolux he also managed large change projects, which included major organisation changes and redesigning business processes. He was engaged in a major change project for Marconi and also worked with CSC as Head of its CFO Practice.

Ray has worked with Chryssaphes Associates as an Associate since 2006. In addition to handling/supporting recruitment assignments, Ray is also engaged through his own separate consulting practice in (finance) organisation change projects and providing executive coaching and outplacement advice/support.

Richard (“Dick”) Townsend (Associate) is a highly experienced senior HR professional. A graduate and an MBA from Manchester Business School, he spent the majority of his career in a range of international HR roles with ICI, which he joined in 1975. Following a solid grounding across UK employee relations and executive recruitment and development, he worked in global, change management and Director/Manager development roles from 1989 onwards. He was a member of a small team that grew a very profitable Dulux business in Asia Pacific and later spent 3 years as VP Global HR for ICI Polyurethanes based in Belgium. In 2000 he moved to DHL as HR Director of DHL’s Global Information Services Division and from 2003 to 2007 was HR Director of the Civil Aviation Authority. More recently Dick worked as Interim Employee Relations Director for AstraZeneca.

As a past client of Chryssaphes Associates whilst with DHL and the Civil Aviation Authority, Dick started working with us as an Associate in 2009. He provides his extensive HR knowledge and experience in support of recruitment assignments as well as on engagements involving the evaluation of and/or provision of executive coaching to candidates on behalf of clients.
